Green Bay / Pantai Teluk Ijo Banyuwangi

Hi there, today post i will tell you about one beautiful place that i visited several times ago. I will give you some review for you who will have plan to have a short trip or who searching for a holiday plan.
Have you guys ever heard about Green Bay or also known as  Pantai Teluk Ijo which is located in Banyuwangi, East Java - Indonesia ?
This place / beach is amazingly beautiful. It has the soft and white sand with stunning scenery. Words can’t fully explain how beautiful this place is. You guys have to come and see this beauty by your own.
The white sand is warm with the greenish-colored ocean water , the exotic rock , surrounded with lush trees, makes this beach like a hidden paradise.

The name of Green Bay ( Teluk Ijo ) is taken from the color of the sea water and also the trees and mountains around the beach strengthening the green character of this place.

Green Bay located on the South Coast Banyuwangi, precisely in the District Pesanggaran, Sarongan Village. Even though you are stay in the center of the city ( Banyuwangi City ), it’s not that easy or close to reach this place. You have to drive about 90KM to go to the village where you will park your car. Me and my family went there by our car, and it takes sooooo long way to get there. Felt so boring inside the car and the road is not really good. But you can enjoy the fresh air along the way. I suggest you to visit this beach early in the morning when the weather is still fresh and cold, and also if you decide to using the boat, the sea water is still calm in the morning.
When you arrive at the park area, you have only two ways to go to the green bay. It’s by boat across the south sea or by walk about 2 KM across the mountain beside the Green bay.
I know that it’s a little bit difficult but it will pay off when you arrive there and see the beautiful scenery.
So what you waiting for ? plan your holiday or weekend gateway to visit Green Bay ( Pantai Teluk Ijo ) in Banyuwangi. You can visit this place alone, with family or friends, and sure you’ll enjoy that place and have pride that you can reach that place :D

* For your information, there’s not only Green Bay you can visit at the moment because around Teluk Ijo you can also visit Red Island Beach , National Park Meru Betiri and some other nice places.

PREPARING A RACE DAY

Hi everyone, how's your day ? here comes again new blog post from me, and well i still have to share about running, the activity that keeps attracted me each day. I will share about how i prepare a race day for my very first time.
A race day for me is absolutely the best way to keep my self running. For me and i think for every runner, a race day is a fun and exciting moment to have our personal best performance. A fixed race date will help us to stay focused and keep us on a regular running schedule.
So guys what you waiting for ? If you really interested to start running, you can try my advice, go sign up for a race, pay for it and mark on your calendar and let's have a good train and preparation for it. Really, you will have a new energy to train more and will enjoy the fun of a race day..
Not everyone have the skill to run fast. We know that some people are natural heel-strikers while others are hard to make their first move. Remember that the more you run, the more comfortable that stride will feel and even better the the more efficient your body will become.
I have ever read one article  about what The Olympian Jeff Galloway says that " The Run-Walk Method " is a great way for new runners to get started and also for experienced runners to improve their race times. The technique doesn't mean walking when you're tired, but it means taking brief walk breaks when you're not.
You can pick whatever ratio of walking and running that works for you.
Here is some suggested combination :
Mr. Galloway said that taking these breaks makes marathon or half-marathon training less grueling and reduces the risk of injury because it gives the muscles regular recovery time during a long run.
But some runners don't like the "Walk-Break Method" because they believe a race day should be run from start to finish without stopping. If that's your goal, just go for it !
Choose A Training Plan
Maybe you can find any number of elaborate training plans online, but let's keeping it simple.
Here is the basic formula for a great training plan.
  • Train three days a week
  • Run or run/walk 20 to 30 minutes, two days a week
  • Take a longer run or run/walk (40 minutes to an hour) on the weekend
  • Rest at conversational pace
  • Consider taking regular walk-breaks

Most new runners start with a 5K race, that is typically less intimidating than a longer race. A local 5K will attract a fun, relaxed group of new runners and walkers, as well as more experienced runners who like to go fast.
For this plan, you have to run for about 30 minutes twice a week and try for a longer run on the weekend. Don't forget to try The RUN-Walk method instead of running the entire distance.
So guys are you ready to start your first race ?

Let's Start Running

We all know that running is a great way to get fit, feel better and even form new relationship with other runners. In this post, i will write still about my running activity. I'm not the expert of it, but i just want to make a simple review about how to start.

Outfit : Top & Shorts Adidas, Hat 2XU, Shoes Saucony Triumph Iso 2
Outfit : Top Adidas, Shorts H&M, Hat 2XU, Shoes Asics Kayano 23

I know that at the first time for a runner, it’s not as simple as what i thought, especially to wake up early in the morning nor to do it in the evening when the body is already tired after all day activity. Really, for me it was so hard at the first time to starting this kinda workout (running) :)
But I had read some sources about how to do running at the first time and what to prepare. The sources says that starting a new running habit doesn’t have to be hard.. all we need is only take a comfortable pair of shoes and a willingness to move a little or a lot, all at your own pace. You don't have to go fast at the first time, just do it at your own pace. I started with walking than try to do it faster day by day.
As well as a willingness to start move, for me, a good running gear is the best mood booster to start running. When you have prepared some good running gear, it will a bit gives you the power to start workout..

- Starts with finding the right pair of shoes that fit your toes. Don’t be swayed by brand names. Instead try on several running shoes, jog around the store and let your feet decide. The most important feature of a running shoe is comfort, that’s it ! Choose a shoe that feels good.

- While most runners focus on shoes, socks can be important too. Blisters from bunched-up socks are painful. You need a breathable, snug sock that’s not suffocating. Running socks are mostly not thick. Try socks on in the store, and pick one or two that you like. Test them out to see how they perform when you run and sweat before investing in multiple pairs.

- Find a good & comfort outfit ( my favourite is Adidas, 2XU & Lulu Lemon ). Remember to always use the comfort outfit , doesn't matter which one you prefer, the long sleeve or sleeveless top, the shorts or long pants, just wear what makes you feel comfort. And for the ladies, don't forget to wear a high support bra, it will makes you more comfort while running ( I like high support bra from Adidas & Lulu Lemon ).

- Choose some favourite songs and put it into your running playlist. What kind of music do you prefer to listen while running ? I like the upbeat songs. It can give me powers.

- Every runner need a timing device to help manage their training. Whether you choose a standard watch, a high tech GPS-watch or using your phone, it doesn’t matter. You can download running apps on your mobile phone to track your activity. Just pick the timing device that works for you. ( I choose Garmin Fenix 3 HR and connected with Strava ). I also like "Adidas Train & Run" and "Nike+Run Club" on iphone. You can download some Running apps to find what best for you.

- Find and join a running community. Because  friends who have the same interests will encourage and motivate each other.

And well last but not least, don’t forget to have a good ALARM that can makes you wake up early in the morning J

Let's make it easy to get started. Get up, don't be lazy, get inspired and stay on track.
Are you ready ?
