Henderson Waves

Last week i've been visited Henderson Waves with my kids, we really enjoying this bridge, spent our time to look around, enjoying the fresh air and the trees around. Someday i'll be back to see sunset from here, some of my friends said that the sunset from Henderson Waves is breathtaking.

At 36 metres above ground, the Henderson Waves bridge is the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore. Unveiled in 2008, its fantastical shape has lent an unexpected jolt of design savvy to the lush green belt in the south of Singapore.
True to its name, the bridge mimics the undulating shape pf a wave, curving and twisting along its entire 274-metre length. Its form is anchored by steel arches and filled in with curved 'ribs' - slats of Balau wood, a dense hardwood used in heavy construction and which is found only in Southeast Asia.
Its shape allows it to have hidden recesses and shell-like niches, where pedestrians can sit and observe their surroundings. Because there's privacy and room to rest, the bridge is a popular spot on weekends with couples, families with children and joggers.
As dusk falls, visitors still linger to admire the bridge, which is illuminated to stunning effect by LED lighting from 7pm to 2am every night.
The best way to explore the bridge is as part of the Southern Ridges Walk, a five kilometre hiking trail that takes you through three major parks : Kent Ridge Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park and Mount Faber Park. It is the latter two that Henderson Waves connects.
Aside from being able to observe a rich variety of tropical flora and fauna, a walk on the Ridges also afford you some stunning views of the Island.

Ombak Sunset

Hi there, i still have a simple review from my short trip to Lombok.
Everyone knows that when you visited Lombok, especially if it's your first time, it's not complete if you're not visit the Gilis . Gili means small island, and Lombok has three Gilis, it's Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno & Gili Air. All of it has their own uniqueness. But Gili Trawangan is the most popular of the three Gili's. If you have plan to visit Gili Trawangan, you better take time to stay a night or two or more out there to enjoy the Island. It's really amazing there. On the day, you can enjoy swimming, snorkeling, diving, biking or walking around the Island, seeing the breathtaking sunset, and in the night you will enjoy the crazy nightlife ;)) There are many bars, restaurants and also many beautiful resorts & hotels. You can choose which one that you'll love to stay. Me & friends, we're stay at Ombak Sunset Hotel. The hotel is nice with large room, great bathroom, warm, and also has stunning sea view. It's such a nice place to enjoy the sunset in front of the hotel. But i think, most the hotels at Gili Trawangan has beautiful places to enjoying the sunset.
You can get to Gili Trawangan or other Gilis by fast boat or slow boat. The boat depart from Lombok around 7.30am and if you wouldn't stay in Gilis, you should go back around 4.30pm, that's the last shuttle boat time.

Note :
  • There's no car in Gilis, the only transportation you you can use there to go to or from the harbour is Cidomo ( The horse carts ), so make sure don't bring to many big luggage, except you choose to carry on your luggage by your own.
  • Do not let someone carry your bag without first haggling on a price.
  • Do not leave valuable items on display or your bags unattended.
Well, let's make a plan to visit Lombok. And hope you'll have a great time.

Lombok Island Beaches

Location :: Kuta Beach, Lombok
Hi there everyone, how's so far, here i come again with my new post up on my blog. Now i will write a little bit about my trip to Lombok Island.
As we all know that Lombok Island Indonesia has so many stunning beaches, moreover on the south coast.
Some of the beaches that should be in your trip list are Kuta Beach Lombok & Tanjung Aan Beach.
If you have ever visited / know about Kuta Beach In Bali, well you have to take a look or check about Kuta Beach in Lombok. They both are beautiful, but for me For me Kuta Beach Lombok is way more beautiful than Kuta Beach In Bali. I love the colour of its water. Love love it.
Kuta Beach Lombok, is a very beautiful beach with the super soft, white and warm sands. I love the blue & green colour of its water. This beach is a nice beach to having a swim, seeking shells, snorkeling or just for enjoying walking on the sands.
If you are staying at Mataram ( like i do ), the capital of West Nusa Tenggara Province in Lombok Island, you need to drive about 72 KM or about 90 minutes, so i recommended you to rent a car or join a tour. Because it's quite difficult to use public transportation there.
Before you reach Kuta Beach, you will pass Sade Village, the traditional village of Sasak Tribe, the host of Lombok island. They have beautiful traditional woven fabric, so make sure to stop by.
After you visit Kuta Beach, you also can visit some beautiful beaches around such as Selong Belanak Beach, Mawun Beach or Tanjung Aan Beach. Kuta Beach Lombok is a very famous beach in Lombok, so it's easy to find the beach and also there are some hotels around the beach.
Note : there are many local kids who selling their handicrafts, maybe it will a bit annoying, but please don't get upset. If you are not interesting to buy, than say it politely, don't try to look the things they sell. If you look, than you better buy one thing :))
Location :: Tanjung Aan Beach
Well after Kuta Beach, i visited Tanjung Aan Beach because it's close. Tanjung Aan Beach also called as the Home of Princess Mandalika ( the name of the local tale ). One thing that you will directly notice when you hit out your feet on Tanjung Aan beach is the sand. Unlike other Lombok beaches, the sand of this beach is like pepper. It's very beautiful. I even take it and put it in an empty mineral water bottle and bring it home :D
Tanjung Aan Beach is surrounded by some hills and you can get easy access to the hills to see Tanjung aan beach from the higher level.
When i standing in one of the hill, i don't want to go down, i can spent hours to see the stunning view.
Because of this is my very short trip, i make sure that i'll be back soon to explore more and share with you all again.
Hope you enjoy it and have a great time !
Note ::
  • - Come to Kuta Beach before going to other beaches nearby
  • - If you visit Kuta Beach with a rented vehicle and do not intend to stay in hotel or resort around, please back home before 06.00 pm for your safety
  • - Always bring sunblock to prevent sunburn and a hat to cover your hat ( i'm not wearing hat because it's a bit cloudy at that day )
  • - If you want to surfing, do it in July-August. All that time, the waves were in deal condition to surfing.
  • - Please keep the beach clean.
